🎓 Pre-Kindergarten Class

Welcome to the Pre-Kindergarten class! This is the year when everything starts to come together. Your child is getting ready for kindergarten, and in our Pre-K class, we focus on building the skills, confidence, and love for learning that will carry them into the next exciting phase of their educational journey.

The Pre-Kindergarten classroom is designed to prepare children for school by fostering academic growth, social development, and a sense of independence. It’s all about creating a fun, structured, and nurturing environment where children are encouraged to learn, explore, and thrive.

🌟 Meet Mrs. Natasha Smith

We are excited to have Mrs. Natasha Smith as the lead teacher in our Pre-Kindergarten class!

Mrs. Natasha joined Rainbow Childcare Center in June 2023, bringing with her a deep passion for early childhood education. She is dedicated to preparing children for kindergarten, making sure they are equipped with the skills they need to succeed. With a nurturing, hands-on approach, Mrs. Natasha creates a classroom environment that feels both structured and welcoming, ensuring every child feels confident and ready for what’s next.

Her commitment to early learning is evident in the way she plans engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that not only teach academic skills but also foster independence, problem-solving, and creativity.

🏫 What to Expect in the Pre-K Class

  • Kindergarten Readiness: Our focus is on getting children ready for kindergarten, both academically and socially. We work on literacy skills (like letter recognition, writing, and phonics), math concepts (counting, shapes, and patterns), and social-emotional skills (sharing, taking turns, and expressing feelings).

  • Hands-On Learning: The Pre-K class is filled with activities that make learning fun — from hands-on science experiments to interactive reading sessions, art projects, and games. These activities promote critical thinking and creativity.

  • Building Independence: At this stage, children are gaining more responsibility. Mrs. Natasha encourages them to take initiative, whether it’s choosing an activity, organizing their supplies, or leading group tasks. This helps build self-confidence and prepares them for the structure of kindergarten.

  • Social Skills Development: Pre-K is all about learning how to work and play with others. Children will practice teamwork, conflict resolution, and empathy in a supportive and structured setting.

  • Structured Routines: Predictable routines help children feel secure and ready for the day ahead. We combine free play with structured learning time, ensuring that every child is engaged and motivated.

💬 Parent Communication

Mrs. Natasha believes in maintaining an open line of communication with parents. Whether it’s through daily updates, parent-teacher conferences, or casual chats, she’s always happy to share how your child is progressing and celebrate their achievements. We make sure you’re always in the loop about your child’s milestones and learning adventures!

In the Pre-Kindergarten class, we’re not just preparing your child for kindergarten — we’re giving them the foundation for a lifelong love of learning. With Mrs. Natasha Smith’s guidance, we’re confident your child will be more than ready to take on the next big step in their educational journey!
